my brother, @adolescentgrandmother goes there so he’d have a more fleshed out opinion but I mean I think he loves it. He works really hard which can be exhausting but it’s also why you’re there. I think there are some great ones and some others that treat themselves more like a playground than an academic institution.
I’m not sure why you’d doubt the school. I don’t know many people who go there/went there and were known for anything but being brilliant and driven and all with the perk of being an name and a brand that is recognized as top tier globally with a vast network of other people who are driven and brilliant.
Every place is going to have it’s cons. I know Charlie has his complaints about RISD and my friends that have gone there have their’s. But you have to go to a place that you think is going to make you the best artist you can be and that’s hard to judge at 18 because you will change a lot.
I think if I had to apply to undergrad all over again, I probably would have (taken Cornell off my list) put a few art schools on there but I’m pretty pleased with everything CMU taught me and I think most that graduate RISD feel the same about their education.
I got five new followers :)
I am so content doing these kinds of menial physical tasks philly area artists if you want a full-time assistant in the fall hmu??
